Ted Baker - 'Quirky' Illustration Research

This design i feel is very effective. The use of incorpating leafs with movement of illustation works well. The colour shcmee also relates to the traditional sense. 

On the other hand, designs such as the one above are far to modern for the concept we are going for as a pair. The illustartion is too modern and geometrical. The colour scheme is also qiute harsh and bold. The animal is a great repreentation for an owl, but i believe that the design for Ted Baker needs to be more traditional.

The outline idea for shapes is quite unique. I feel that the illustrations could benifit form tis style instead of it being to over bearing. The modern asthtic here is differnet to the traditional sense that we would like to go for. LInes insted of colour woud be more approapriate.
