I have chosen to focus on Mario Wagner's work as i feel that the way he designs is extremely creative. He uses collage is a unique way that incorporates line // image // colour // texture and pattern very well. the use of adding old vintage images also creates these designs to look specific to collage.
LINE:
Using line in in his collages separates the design and allows for a focus on the designs. The use of line in all these designs also helps to create an outline or background image.
Most of this design seems to be controlled by line. This applies a sense of sectioning within an image and breaks up the design a lot because it is full of colour and imergery.
Grid lines - Within this image Wagner has developed the lines into a grid shape and i think it looks quite effective.
I feel that Mario's work is quite effective in portraying collage. He is one of my favourite designers and I feel that he works really relate to my project that i am doing for what is a line. The terms of design are quite complicated and i would like to make my designs more contemporary and feel that if i decided to create collages i would want ten to resemble this.
